Itinerary in details:
Day 1: Arrival at Siem Reap(D)
Our flight to Siemriep
will be 915 17:50/19:05. Meet and greet upon
arrival.Transfer to the hotel in Siemreap. Diner and
overnight at Angkor Village Resort.
Day
2: Siem Reap and Angkor(B,D)
We will embark on an elephant ride to tour of Angkor
Thom. This will include the South Gate, Bayon, the Royal
Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace
of the Leper King. From here you will then make your way to
visit Ta Prohm before an afternoon visit to Preah Khan, Neak
Pean, East Mebon and Pre Rup temples.
Diner and overnight at Angkor Village Resort.
Day 3: Siem Reap and Angkor (B,D)
Today we will visit Prasat Kravan, Bantaey Srei and
Bantaey Kdei. This afternoon will find us at the Roulous
Group of Temples - Preah Ko, Bakong Lole Temples until
sunset. Tonight we will enjoy diner with traditional Khmer
folk performance of Apsara. Angkor Village Resort.
Day 4: Siem Reap - Pakse. (B)
Breakfast, we take an early flight to Pakse. On arrival,
we drive on the National Road No. 13th south to Champassak
and visit the ruins of Wat Phu, which is well known as the
most important Hindu sanctuary of the Khmer Empire between
9th –13th centuries. Here is also a chance to visit some
nearby Khmer temples and Buddhist shrines. Overnight in
Pakse
Day 5: Boloven Plateau – Done Khone. (B)
After breakfast excursion drive to Done Khone via the
plateau of Boloven where tea and coffee plantations growing
and most famous Lao coffee. You have chance to observe the
traditional coffee and tea maker. En route visit the
minority villages of Ban Tateng and experience the daily
lifestyle of ethnic minority people of Alack, Katu, Nge that
remain not so much change their lifestyle, we continue to
Done Khone Island by long tail local boat. Overnight in Don
Khone Island.
Day 6: Done Khone Surrounding. (B)
Early morning breakfast, we explore the local villages
of Ban Khone, where the old French colonial buildings and
its retrace the old colonial past with seeing the first Lao
railway with its locomotive. We continue discover the area
of 4000 islands by our leisurely boat to visit one of the
most beautiful waterfalls of marking the end of Lao boundary
to Cambodia call Liphi waterfall, known as the Samphamith.
If we have luck, we may be seen the rare freshwater
Irrawaddy Mekong dolphin at Ban Hang Khone. Return to Ban
Nakasang and drive to famous waterfalls of Khone Phapeng.
The largest waterfall in South East Asia, known as Niagara
of the east. Overnight in Don Khone Island.
Day 7: Done Khone – Pakse - Vientiane (B)
Breakfast. Afterward we drive back to Pakse for flight
to Vientiane.
Meet on arrival and you are welcome to Vientiane. Transfer
to hotel for check-in.In the afternoon, we take a
sightseeing tour of Vientiane, to visit religious museums of
Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple to have been survived from
the Siamese war of 1828 and its cloister contains more than
8000 Buddha statues; Wat Ho Prakeo, the former home-temple
of the Emerald Buddha statue or Pra Keo, but today it
contains a collection of Buddha statues, antiques and all
artifacts found in around Vientiane; That Luang Stupa, the
single most important monument in Laos, which was built to
cover the original small stupa containing a piece of the
chest bone of Buddha; Patouxay (Arch de Triumph), built
quite recently in commemoration of those who died during the
wars in the past and it is today as the land-mark of
Vientiane.
Day 8: Vientiane to VangVieng (B)
The journey begins as we depart Vientiane and drive
along one of the most scenic routes in the whole of Asia to
Vang Vieng, which is located on a bend in the Nam Song
River. This small and tranquil town is rapidly developed
with the advent of tourist, but the beautiful scenery with a
mixture of quiet water and limestone outcrops is unchanged
for century. After checking into hotel, we explore the most
famous cave of Tham Jang, which was used by local people
around 200 years as a hideout from Chinese invaders, and the
breathtaking landscape along the Nam Song River. Over night
in Vang Vieng.
Day 9: VangVieng to Luang Prabang (B)
An early morning departure towards Luang Prabang. The
road conditions are very poor; however the stunning mountain
scenery makes the hardship all worthwhile. We arrive in
Luang Prabang this afternoon and have time strolling around
to catch our first glimpse. This enchanting town with its
gleaming temple roofs, fading colonial architecture and
stunning mountain backdrop has been claimed by UNESCO to be
“the best preserved traditional city in South East Asia”.
There is little traffic on Luang Prabang roads and monks in
orange robes scurry in all directions carrying umbrellas to
shade themselves from the Sun. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 10: Luang Prabang (B)
The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which
displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the
richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early
kings right through the last sovereign, is not to be missed.
We visit this sight as well as the magnificent Wat
Xiengthong. The temple structures are decorated in various
ways with gilded stuccoes and doorways. Heading out of this
area, we explore some other major sights including the
impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, the shrine of Wat Aham, the
city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and Wat Mai. The perfect
way to round off the day is to watch the Atacular sunset
over the Mekong River from the top of Phousi Mount. From
there, we explore Street Night Market, where you can find
the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill
tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang
Prabang.
Day 11: Pak Ou Cave (B)
Today, we continue our city tour, seeing the magnificent
Wat Xieng Thong, which nestles at the meeting of the Mekong
and the Nam Khan River. The temple structures are decorated
in various ways with gilded stuccoes and doorways. The main
Sim has a marvelous 'tree of life' mosaic pattern on an
outer wall. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong
River, which also gives us a taste of the tranquil
countryside and an interesting visit to the mysterious of
Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered
Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way,
we stop at Ban Xang Hai to visit the rice wine distillation.
Upon disembarking, we drive to the famous weaving village of
Ban Phanom where shoppers have a chance to try their hand at
bargaining. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
Day 12: Luang Prabang – Kuangsi Waterfall (B,L)
An morning breakfast, before we take a drive (30 km
South) to visit Kuangsi Waterfall, which, though not very
high, is spectacular and really beautiful with its green
surroundings as the preserved National park. We stop
en-route, stop to visit a fresh produced market namely Talad
Phosy, and also visit Ban Na Oune, a small village of a
hill-tribe group "Hmong", probably the best-known minority
group in Laos. Just before arriving at Kuangsi waterfall,
there is another village of Khmu minority group, namely Ban
Tha Pane that we will visit. Our picnic lunch is served at
the shady park nearby Kuangsi waterfall. There is plenty of
time for relaxing and a swim in cool water, before we head
back to Luang Prabang in the late afternoon. The rest of the
day is spent by visiting various craft-shops, including
silver smiths' and also Hmong market in town, where some
skilled embroidery-works of Hmong
ladies can be seen. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Luang Prabang to Bangkok(B)
Breakfast, free at leisure, until transfer to airport.
